Melissa & Alex Engagement Portraits

This world is small...it truly is. I had the pleasure of taking engagement portraits of a great couple, Melissa and Alex. Funny story: Melissa had contacted me to take some engagement pics after she had seen the pictures I had taken at a mutual friends wedding. After she and I connected on Facebook, I noticed that her finance looked familiar...but I couldn't quite place him. After some searching and facebook stalking I found out that I had met Alex through another mutual friend. Weird. But good for everyone involved!

We went up to the American side of Niagara Falls to take some pictures in a local garden where Alex proposed. Here are some pics of our session!

What an amazing & fun wedding day! Matt & Sabrina had been in love for years, and finally were able to celebrate that love in a ceremony that took place the Saturday after Thanksgiving...I don't think I've ever seen two people more thankful and in love.

I was able to shoot my 4th wedding at Whitehaven Baptist Church...and what a pleasure it was! Erin & Matt were married on Friday, August 7, 2009...and had a great group of friends and family around them. I had such a great time...it barely felt like work!

Wedding #1 is in the books! I was able to hang out with Rachel and meet some really great people this weekend in Pittsburgh...especially Jake and Julie, who just happened to be the reason for the roadtrip.

Jenna & Andy Palka

Jenna and Andy are a great couple that were married on a cruise in Key West in March (which they didn't apparently need me as a photographer...how rude!) :) But they came back to Buffalo (although I'm not sure why) and had an amazing reception with friends and family on April 4th.

I was able to hang out with some great friends and get a few shots in the mean time!

I've never shot a wedding/reception where the groom helps the bride into the dress!

I knew we had to get a few shots at the piano!

ummmmm i hope i caught them just kidding around!

They didn't have their champagne glasses...so why not clink fists!

Engagement Portraits

No, no, no...not MY engagement portraits, ones that I shot for my bff Liz and her fiance JP. We finally were able to get together to shoot these portraits, and they came out wonderfully!

While I was waiting for Liz & JP to get to Delaware Park, I saw at least 6 or 7 wedding parties come and wait for their turn to take pictures at the big mansion or whatever big building there was...

In this photo you can see 4 different wedding parties waiting for their turn!

We started off with some simple shots...

Then went for a walk...
Stopped to check out all the minnows:
Took a quick break to steal a kiss...

Time for another walk and maybe a joke or two:

Then a little hide and seek in the weeping willow:

So we wanted to simulate all the brides who were getting their pictures taken by the pillars:
And lastly...the swings! We only had to throw one kid off!

Cuca and Mike's Wedding

So today one of my good friends got married. Jessica (aka Cuca) and I met in 7th grade when our two schools merged, and have been friends ever since. She's one of those friends who you may not talk to much, maybe once a year...someone who you stalk via myspace or facebook to see what is happening or see recent pictures, but no matter when you see one another it was like you never were apart. I was so honored to be invited to this simple yet amazing wedding.

Although I wasn't the actual photographer...when it's in your blood, it's in your blood and you can't NOT take pictures! Plus it's so much easier than trying to talk to people!

I was so excited to do a photoshoot with one of my pretend neices, Lauryn who is now about 7 and 1/2 months old. She has recently found her tongue as you can see some of these pictures!

7-7-07...millions of people got married on this date, and Kristen and Adam are no exceptions. I hope it was as amazing day for all the other couples as it was for Kristin and Adam. The weather was perfect, the two were in love...and we had a lot of fun!

This weekend was a total blessing to me. Not only was I able to hang out with some amazing people, I got to take pictures and worship the Lord. Not a bad couple days if I do say so myself!

So my friend Sigrid got married this past Saturday to a great, Godly man named Isaac. It was one of the most Spirit filled weddings i have been to, and lately that's been a lot!

Becca helped me out, since it was my first time being the primary shooter, but to tell you the truth, she took most of the amazing shots that you will see in this blog! I couldn't have done this withough her, it's such a great time to photograph someone you care about with a best friend who is AMAZING.

Rach..you have been teaching her well...we definately have to do this for a living!

This is a great shot from Becca, and I know that she was really excited about it! She not only got the beautiful and unique bouquet but also Sigrids Rings (we did the pictures before the ceremony so she doesn't have a wedding ring on yet) and Isaac's arm is also in there too...kudos to you Bec! I couldn't have done this without you!
